Our refund policy reflects the nature of AI-powered services: once computation begins, costs are immediately incurred. We are fair, but we are also clear about where the line is. Read the policy for your product below.
Free product
Spectra Forge is provided at no cost. Because there is no charge, no refund is applicable.
Before pipeline starts
If you cancel your Architect project before your brief enters the AI processing pipeline, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.
After pipeline starts — on-demand
Once your project brief is submitted and the analysis pipeline begins, AI computation costs are immediately incurred. No refund is available at this point for on-demand purchases.
Quality credit
If you believe your delivered architecture document is materially incomplete or inaccurate relative to your submitted brief, you may request a partial credit. Quality disputes are reviewed by our team within 5 business days. A partial account credit (not a cash refund) may be issued at our discretion based on the findings.
Subscription cancellation
Architect Partner subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refund is issued for unused time in the current period.
Before pipeline starts
If you cancel your Build project before your brief enters the AI build pipeline, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.
During build
If you cancel a Build project while the pipeline is actively running (after it has started but before final deliverable delivery), you are entitled to a 50% refund of the amount paid. The remaining 50% covers the AI computation and agent time already consumed.
After delivery
Once the completed application code and assets have been delivered to your account, no refund is available. Delivery is defined as the point at which you can download or access your deliverables in the Spectra portal.
Quality disputes
If the delivered application does not reasonably match the accepted project brief (scope agreed upon before the pipeline started), you may file a quality dispute within 14 days of delivery. Disputes are reviewed case-by-case. Remediation options may include a targeted rebuild of specific features, a partial credit, or — in cases of significant shortfall — a partial refund at our discretion.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Deploy subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by emailing support@spectra.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Service continuation
After cancellation, your hosted application and all Deploy services remain active through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
No prorated refunds
We do not issue prorated refunds for unused time within the current billing period. If you cancel mid-month, you will not be charged for the next month, but no refund is issued for the remaining days of the current month.
Data after cancellation
Following the end of your final paid period, hosted applications will be taken offline. Your project data remains in your Spectra account for 30 days, during which you may download it. After 30 days, hosted data is deleted.
Proportional refund
Platform bundles combine Architect, Build, and Deploy components. Refund eligibility for each component follows the individual product policies above, applied proportionally to the bundle price based on the standalone value of each component.
Example
If you purchase a Starter Bundle ($1,997) and cancel before the Architect pipeline starts but after submitting your Build brief (pipeline running), the Architect portion is eligible for a refund while the Build component is not, subject to the Build cancellation rules above.
How to request
Email refunds@spectra.app with your account email, order reference, which bundle you purchased, and which components you wish to claim a refund for. We will assess eligibility and respond within 3 business days.
Submit your request
Email refunds@spectra.app within 14 days of your purchase or delivery date. Include your account email address, order reference number (found in your billing receipt), the product you purchased, and a brief explanation of why you are requesting a refund.
Review period
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and complete our review within 5 business days. For quality disputes involving delivered code or architecture documents, we may take up to 10 business days to assess the deliverable against your brief.
Processing time
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. The time for the credit to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer, typically 5–7 additional business days. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. We cannot issue refunds to a different card or account.
Account credits
In some cases — particularly quality disputes — we may offer an account credit instead of a cash refund. Account credits can be applied to any future Spectra purchase and do not expire. We will always clearly state whether an approved resolution is a cash refund or an account credit before processing it.
